I do repairs for the secondhand shop I work in. Thanks to your amazing videos, I was able to replace my first HDMI port on an Xbox One S. And you know what? It's now better than factory! Thanks again for posting these videos

Another great video. I do a lot of repairs for older amateur radio equipment and stereo HIFI receivers, tape decks, tube type amps, etc (1950's to late 1990's) You wouldn't believe the amount of time saving techniques I've learned over the years watching your video's, they really are excellent educational video's for beginners and advanced techs. I would say your soldering technique above all else has saved me the most time when it comes to getting it right and not having cold solder joints all over the place after finishing a project. Thank you.

Nice job, this is technology for technologies sake not for better design.

Really awesome you had the offset of the button right at first try! Or was this the 100th laptop with this fault and already knew where to place the button on the pad?

One reason for this design could be to prevent users from pressing the button too hard and damage it, though it failed anyway. Or they had an surplus stock of these buttons.

Question: I know this was awhile ago, but, that laptop looked like it needed cleaning, do you or big boss clean if needed or are they just fixed? Would you clean if the owner asked for a fix and clean?
thx for sharing all the awesome vids, I have learned

Alex, If only I had your skills. Do you by chance, as a side hussle, buy broken electronics cheap, fix and sell at a huge profit? Or is running your shop fixing customers electronics enough? I imagine, enough. My house would be filled with every imaginable electronics out there.

My experience on a hp omen. Its the first time i have seen a laptop that powered up by pressing the power button not on the middle, but on the left side. Truly a strange design .

I agree that the design is stupid but, as I work in similar situations, it is simply NOT an engineer choice. The designer of the case wanted it that way for aesthetic reasons, and the technical staff must comply. I do that all the time, saying myself this is idiotic but aesthetics practical use
