4. Windows performance adjust
5. Close all unnecessary starup from task mgr

I have same problem. Iam facing this problem from last 2 month's

Step 1 boot windows into safe mode.
Step 2 uninstall very rarely used softwares.
Step 3 disable automatic startup applications.
Step 4 disable all running background tasks those are using battery power.
Step 5 disable or delete tasks registered under tasks sechdulers.
Step 6 Use disk cleanup manager to temporary files and folders.
Step 7 Use storage disk application, remove waste file.

Your computer is processing more than its capacity never keep lots of unnessary softwares that keep idle for years without use they just keep running in background remove all unnessary stuffs in C drive always run Ccleaner to clean every week garbage files that computer creates its own of no use they just stop the processing of data and system keeps hanging, also debloat your computer with unnessary startup programs and application if using windows 10 they all eat memory and processing power of cpu, gpu and RAM power and blocks smooth functioning of laptop. These are some hints also there is high percentage of hardware failure, corrupt operating system, corrupt BIOS, excessive heat, laptop not cleaned for several years and no servicing done that people usually avoid to save some pennies, they think the machine will run lifetime dont change CMOS battery after 3-5 years dont change worn out parts known as roasted components. These are causative reasons of malfunctioning of laptop, i have faced these issues so I do self servicing of my laptop every 6 months clean the vents after opening laptop i learnt these things slowly in 10 years educating myself of why the system not functioning properly one cannot escape maintenance expense if using the machine, it is bound to get worn and creat havoc so servicing and timely maintenance needed.
