Have only seen one firmware update on my LNR280 NVR. Purchased 11/2013 and the last firmware release was 1/2014. Now it hardly works with any browsers. This is the only reason I would possibly not suggest the Lorex products. Otherwise the hardware has been rock solid.

My app just stop working and not receiving a code to log in is this do to the firmware needing to be uploaded

I tried a FIRMWARE update for DV800, it started, got to 100% then went black and has not come back up. I had to restart it and nothing, have power lights but the monitor does not detect a signal. Is there a way to reset the flash ROM? or do I have a paperweight.
