SMOOTHIES!!
Try this: Blend Nut or bean milk + vegan protein powder + avocado + frozen banana + nut butter + fresh greens = AWESOME! (no dairy, no added sugar, but has all the vitamins, minerals, fiber, and protein you need!!)

Juicing flat out works. This guy has not tried it. I'll take results over a bunch of letters behind some bozos name.

There is a lot of people that misunderstand juicing including this guy.

First, juicing is meant to be a supplement to an already healthy diet. That debunks most of the criticism. It’s not meant to give you every possible nutrient your body needs. It’s not meant to give you lots of fiber or protein. Do you think all foods that don’t give you this are bad? It’s not logical to think if it this way.

Juicing is meant to give you hydration and a boatload of nutrients. The amount of vegetables you can get from a juice you would never be able to consume in a day. You can get 10 cups of greens, turmeric, ginger, peppers, and cabbage in 1 drink. Again, it’s a supplement. People need to stop looking at it as something to compare to a balanced meal. That’s not it’s purpose if your doing it right.

It does work... you eat the fruits and you juice the vegetables... they made a mistake

Juicing isn’t meant for long term use of course it isn’t healthy over a long period of time but I can be beneficial in short windows such as 3 day fasts to help people overcome sugar addictions or over eating.

The problem here he presented juicing/cleasing as if it the only food that you would do forever while most routine is just 3 day cleanse. Then you can go back to regular balance diet.

It is okay to cleanse and fast once in a while.

I've suspected this for years; it's nice to see a nutritionist say it out loud. Ive always giggled inside when I see some one blending a concoction and I always thought, 'why not just chew your food and eat it like you're supposed to?'

This is incorrect in so many ways. My body isn't going to have an easier time cleansing when I'm not eating gluten or other processed foods? There's a ton of iron and calcium in greens. And I only listened to 60 seconds of this before turning it off. How this guy is a professional nutritionist is beyond me.

If you already have a shit diet and you don't wanna eat veggies... you juice them

Consuming less toxic foods gives the body its power to fully detox itself from toxins already within it, which is the correct mindset backing the juice cleanse. However, it’s not the ONLY way to get the body to detox itself at maximum. Even paleo people have experienced some sort of detox. Just not as much as the raw vegan juicers for obvious reasons. Cutting out processed/canned foods is a good way to reduce toxic food intake in the body.

The body would detox properly is we did have such a SAD diet. If it was that simple people would be so sick and overweight

What does juicing actually do? And for someone who has an unchanged, unhealthy diet?

It works for some people who follow the green juice cleanse based on the documentary "Sick, Fat, and Nearly Dead."
