I chose A+ because I don't see companies asking for the Google cert like they do CompTIA A+. Also, CompTiA A+ is not just multiple choice. It has performances based questions as well. Core 1 had about 5 and Core 2 had about 3. You have to build SOHO networks, setup email systems in mobile devices, resolve help desk tickets, troubleshoot, etc. In addition to multiple choice. And the newer versions are even more advanced. So, yeah, this video needs to be updated. The only thing I do agree with is that CompTIA is far more superior.

It looks like Google’s IT Support Professional certificate is no longer free to take the course. Unless I’m mistaken, I only found it available through Coursera, which you have to pay a monthly subscription to access.

Would going through the Google Cert set you up to take the exam for A+?

How about I do the free one first just to get a higher paying job for now so I can pay for the CompTIA exams later on
