I’m very surprised that the GRC analyst role is not on this list. I came into Cybersecurity as a Security Risk analyst with about 6 months of IT support experience. It’s documentation heavy but a good way to get your foot in the door.

😮 still deciding how to start, which is probably the hardest part. Just found out my company is willing to reimburse the cost of a cybersecurity bootcamp. Jist gotta come up with the up front money

Currently I’m working to pursue PCI DSS in the program I’m in which I believe is in GRC area. I’m wondering if this is good to start in

I am a prior Army medic current Police Officer and i just applied to go to college for cybersecurity. I have no computer background as of now. Is it beneficial to take additional certifications on top of college courses while in school vs waiting? This is a new world for me and your videos are helping massively.

Hi TDad, I don't have any background knowledge in information but would love to have a career switch to cyber security. I only have a degree in English language. So please, what do I need to do? Where do I start? What cyber security course should I start with. Your honest answer will be appreciated

I’m surprised to see junior pentester on the list, there’s a very low chance to get a junior pentest job(no experience)without at least an OSCP/PNPT for where I’m at.

Thank you form this video. The information here is extremely helpful. I do have a question that’s been on my mind, and I can’t find a lot of information on it. Does one need to take polygraph test to work in cybersecurity?

entry level means with no previous experience - these roles can be but you always mentioned experience. We need roles without it, otherwise how the hell are people supposed to get the experience? Thats more common problem in IT in general tho, not a critique of you.

I want to be a penetration tester is that the most competitive career path?

I noticed that many of these entry level jobs you mentioned advance into Security Engineer.

Does that make Security Engineer a job with high requirements or entry? Or is it a job that's a jack of all trades (but master of none, although often better than a master of one)?
