I got my CCNA without any experience in networking. It's all about your enthusiasm and interest. :)

I am learning the CCNA without ant networking experience. I am just good with computers because I enjoy and have tinkered troubleshot and fixed all kinds of computers. I enjoy installing linux distributions, creating webpages, running servers for IRC, etc. CCNA can be entry level for sure and really it's the best if YOU CAN do it. Computers are all logic, if you are a logical thinker you have a gift for working with computers. Good luck!

In all fairness, I subscribe for an annual membership THEN started following you after an ITProTV appearance. So it's only fair you mention them in one of your videos. It's a win win 😊👍🏻

I totally agree that CCNA is not entry level. I just passed by Network+ exam this month and working towards Cisco certs next. Appreciate the channel.

Pretty much any entry level Gov't oriented IT job requires two things:
1) CompTIA Security+
2) the ability to breath

hey man, im interviewing for a liason position with AWS that coordinates between the datacenter and the networking folks - do you have a recommendation for certification in that case, just to gain basic networking knowledge?

I just passed my net+. I want to get my CCNA next. What resources are there for preparing to pass the CCNA?

Is the ccna more network hardware based, or network software based? I’m not really into hardware, and might want a tech job that deals with the software side. If the ccna and or comptia network+ isn’t aimed towards that, which network cert is?

I’m looking to get into a entry level cyber security job, I’ve currently got a degree in IT, sys admin experience and also recently a comptia security +. Do I need to get the CCNA to get a cyber security job? Thanks.

Should I take Net+ and CCNA? Or it's better to take one or the other?

I'll look into the Net + but, going for the CCNA

I recommend the Network+ as a starter, period. Everything you learn on that exam will carry over to the CCNA and with Cisco eliminating the CCENT, it's an excellent starting point for networking. If you have experience in Networking then the CCNA might be for you.

What should you study before doing ccna

JACKY, i've got my CCNA but its hard to get an entry level role requiring only networking knowledge, they're either asking for system admin or combined with comptia A+. the ones that require you to be full time network engineer are requiring years of experience, , i'm even confused, maybe, i should'nt have opted for CCNA as an entry level certification...

On the comptia website. Is the ITF+51 an option to take, or is it obsolete?

I'm studying for the current CCNA. I will be taking the ICND1 in December and ICND2 in late January or early February.

debating if I was going to take the CCNA, I don't think I am going to take it. I have a couple certs A+ net+ security+ ITILv3 & I pass 2/3 test for the MCSA job. I keep getting service desk jobs. I don't want another service desk job any further suggestions?
