Just passed the 902, am now A+ certified. This channel gave me a ton of motivation along the way (I failed the 902 twice)

If your just starting out, go for the comptia A+. Comptia A+ covers windows, mac, linux, and the fundamentals of information technology. With this certification, you can get a job in desktop support, technical support, IT support, and some mid level jobs will require it. Also the A+ opens up to different things to learn so based on that, you can figured out what's the best career path. If you already have some experience, the best thing to do is skip the A+ and jump over to CCNA or Microsoft.

I'm saying depends on your goals. If you are a very beginner, A+ is the one. If you are working in IT, then Network+, Security+, and then something else based on your goals. Everyone needs the A+ and Network+ skills.

I dropped out of college, not knowing what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to do something hands on and gets the job done while knowing fundamentally and doing well with something. I realized that I enjoy customer services with computer and want to go beyond customer services, which is the backend system. I am excited to get my CompTIA A+ certification, very motivated to study as I see communities like the IT!

Thank you so much for the video. This is exactly the information I was looking for to help me decide which route for courses I will be taking in school. I have no experience in the IT field and am taking Network and System administration courses for a certificate. The next courses available take you into Cisco or Microsoft. Thank you for the info on what is best for entry level!

This was a great video and really encouraged me to keep studying. The A+ studying has definitely made me a much more well rounded user of the technology so I couldn’t agree more.

Excellent video! Outstanding advice for folks. Loved my A+ experience, hitting the network+ studies now and it’s incredibly detailed work but rewarding. Keep up the great channel!

Non vendor specific certs are the way to go if you are new to the field. Solid advice.. 👍

You just made my life easier as I was too worried which one to go for first. Now, I know Comptia's A+ is for me as I am just a student with no IT experience at all.

I'm going to be going to a Community College to get an Associate's degree that prepares me to sit for the CCNA, and while in the program I'll be taking courses that prepare me to sit for the A+, Sec+, and Net+ certifications, so I'll be getting the best of both worlds.

Thanks for this video. I was studying CCNA first because a friend of mine told me it was great entry level. I’m about to start on the A+ because I’m only 9 hours into a CCNA course and am having a real hard time progressing. I’ll focus on the A+ and come back to CCNA.

Thank you for this information as I am currently looking to recruit for help desk and I can appreciate why a company would want someone to have the Comp Certification.
