Blender Quick Tips is a series of short video guides showing you quick and easy ways to improve your Blender workflow. This video covers a method of making less noisy glass which can be rendered with a low sample count. This better glass material acts as a transparent material on multiple passes through a glass material, reducing noise and improving the overall render time.

Thanks for the video. It's very helpful. It's exactly what I was looking for.
Just a suggestion, the background music is a little bit noisy and I was trying to hear what you say.

Look up audio ducking to help with the music problem

Really appreciate this idea! With Blender do they have AOVs to show the noise from any render pass? In Redshift or Arnold, I could render just the noise passes such that I could DECREASE the albedo, ..., etc., and INCREASE only the samples of the noisy render passes... This way, though front loaded slower, I got fast renders. Redshift was still 7x faster than Arnold, but cycles is close to Redshift, (e-cycles has only been about 10% faster for me on a 1080ti bitminer GPU) and I don't know the render engine well enough to know if this can be done as well natively in cycles, but I do know the default settings are totally inconsistent with reality most of the time.
12 min video? I'd watch that.

My glass is super wavy with jagged edges in the render. Do you know what I may be doing wrong?
