Whole pig on a spit with two whole chickens inside!

Cooked up this beauty for my Mum and Dad's 30th wedding anniversary and also filmed it for an episode of Free to Cook

Ingredients

1 Whole Pig
2 Whole Chickens
Lemongrass
lemon thyme
garlic chives
Italian parsley
sage
2 Lemons
2 Apples
Salt and Pepper

I just bought a ready to cook pig. I really didn't think it through, and I have no idea how I'm going to roast it. What was the weight of the pig in this video? The one I have is 50 lbs.

How long does it take to be completely done and ready to eat?? .. I am want to try it with beef though

If you keep smothering it in oil throughout the cooking the skin will brown considerably more evenly.

Looks amazing! The only question that I have is, What about the ribs, tenderloin and the other parts that are considered to be the "desirables" ... Did they dry out, or did the chickens inside of the cavity cure that problem?

A little inexperience there..
Never put coal in the middle, plc it near the corners (head & butt).. The middle will then cook perfectly..

No wrong was done in taking the pigs life so it could be pit to higher use as food for people.
