Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick Makes $155 Million Bonus

The disturbing lawsuit against Activision has revealed that Bobby Kotick, Activision’s CEO, did in fact make nearly 155 million dollars while his company was allegedly engaging in horrific abuse and mistreatment of female employees.

When the state of California sued Activision, buried among the disturbing accusations of sexual abuse, harassment, and mistreatment of female employees was the fact that CEO Bobby Kotick took home nearly 155 million dollars in 2020 while overseeing the company. This was also on the heels of Activision laying off hundreds of employees with just gift cards as severance packages.

Activision is the company behind massively successful games like Warzone, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft and more. But with pros and streamers raging over no anti-cheat in Warzone, World of Warcraft losing tons of players, and Call of Duty League struggling for views, the CEO pocketing nearly 155 million in bonuses while these issues go unaddressed seems worrying at the least.

So between layoffs of staff, big problems with games with Warzone, and now, with these terrifying accusations against Activision Blizzard, most of which seem to have occurred while Bobby Kotick was CEO of the company, it makes such a massive bonus seem wildly inappropriate.

Why is there no anti-cheat?

Because you don’t get the $155, 000, 000 bonus by spending more money.

So why did they have to lay off all those workers then? The wealthier they get, the greedier they get.

Cant complain about shit when everyone just goes right back to playing the games and giving these companies more money whenever they are done feeling outraged....

Activision could have hired 900 more senior devs with that money

Bass Pro Shop CEO took an 80% paycut over firing 800 employees during the pandemic. Maybe Bobby can learn a thing or two.

How about he uses that $155, 000, 000 to add an anti-cheat into Warzone?

That's pretty crazy, imagine being sexually assaulted and then played off and given a gift card for the company that did it to you. Disgusting. I don't even consider that severance since they pretty much just gave them credit that will go right back into the company if spent. Disgusting

that's a crazy level of greed to make all that money and then underpay/mistreat your employees.

$155M is enough to pay EVERY SINGLE ONE of their employees a HUGE bonus.

The polar opposite to LAYING OFF WORKERS FOR NO REASON.

Thats what happens with large corporations. When they're are doing very well, that's when lay offs happen.

Has Bobby even ever played a game in his life?

I’m not going to hate on a guy for making money they earned that was in their contract. The company offered that contract and than fulfilled it. Shitty people getting laid off etc but this was something agreed upon way back in 2016 if those goals were ever met. The part that is stupid is laying off 800ish employees when you are breaking financial records and then rehiring to fill those same positions in some cases. Super shady.

I was watching a certain streamer on twitch complaining saying everyone needs to stop playing warzone it’s the only way they will add a anti cheat, about 20min later he was in the store buying a operator bundle lmao
