The idea of having an "unfair advantage" in a sector that your competitor doesn't want to compete in is ridiculous. That's like saying Sony has an unfair advantage in the console gaming market. The fact Sony doesn't want to compete with a service like Game Pass doesn't mean that Microsoft should be forced to wait until they do. The FTC and CMA are obviously trying to protect the market leader for whatever reason.

Sony and their anti competitive tactics have made them console leader time and time again. They want gamers to pay full price for games and pay for PS Plus premium. They loath gamepass day one releases and go so far to pay developers not to put their games on game pass. They have a triple A exclusive game portfolio they dwarfs Microsoft's, but for some reason MS is the villain of the FTC after almost losing COD and Starfirld to Sony as PS exclusives. Even after this acquisition it will do nothing in the immediate future to Sony's global appeal because MS severely lacks japanese titles and cannot enter that market which still has global appeal when you can't even get a street fighter and final fantasy game on your console it is just Sony suffocating competition. That has forced MS to multiplatform and change their business model to games as a service.

I have own a PlayStation in every interation so far from the first PlayStation all the way down to the PlayStation 5 and I've enjoyed every exclusive that they had but I think that Sony is afraid of losing the console wars because of game pass and Starfield. And they are afraid of losing a major franchise like Call of Duty to Microsoft. And even if Microsoft were to do such a thing no one has complained about Sony and their exclusives to the PlayStation platform for over 20 years. I don't see how the court doesn't see the irony and pettiness of Sony

Let’s not forget Live Nation, TicketMaster merger back in the day. These kinds of stuff are toxic for consumers
