Are we going to ignore the fact that not only was Julia Child a great chef, she was a spy for the Allied Nations during World War II? She didn't just change the way America's cook and view food, she helped change the world. She worked for the CIA before it was called the CIA (at the time it was called the OSS).

Meryl Streep explained that she did not portray Julia child. She said she actually portrayed Julie Powell's idea. So. it can be a bit different from Julia child.

This movie made me start cooking and now it's my favorite thing to do. And i love to do it for as many people as possible. Even once did it for my enitre school (about 700 people at the time). And just hearing people say they liked it, it feels so amazing. (i made french onion soup, boeuf bourguignon and for dessert, chocolate cakes like the one from the movie). I started on monday at like 5am in the schoolkitchen (alone) because it was really big. And everything was done by tuesday around 8pm, just in time for when the school sat done to eat.
I was so nervous. Me and the teachers served it, i said 'Bon Appetite' and people just loved my food. I can't describe that feeling it gave me.
All thanks to Julia Child, Julie Powell, Meryl Streep & Amy Adams i discoverd what i love to do.

Yeah, I started cooking at home everyday for my blog, channel and book. Now I understand how easily Meryl Streep gained weights while shooting. On the contrary when I was prefessionally baking, I lost weight because I worked standing in the kitchen for 10 hours a day.

This is one of the best movies Ive seen in a while. Meryl Streep didnt just play Julia Child, she became Julia Child. She is absolutely amazing. Amy Adams was great as Julie. And the husbands played great roles also. Stanley Tucci was excellent as Paul & I'd like to take Chris Messina home with me.

Michael ( Another actor we lost this year was William Hurt) I love William & Michael. John Travolta was great as Michael the dirty 😇 angel.

Of course Meryl Streep did it again and was delightful and funny as Julia Child. They even made her look 6'1" tall. The Julie segments in the tiny apartment kitchen were quite hilarious and made me hungry for some of those recipes. I am so sorry that Julie Powell recently passed away at only age 49. Rest in Peace.

I watched this movie in my cooking class in high school, I loved it and my teacher even called me 'Little Julia Child' while she gave me some Julia Child cookbooks as a graduation gift.
