These conversations make me feel Arya was the daughter Tywin wanted, and Cersei was the daughter he was stuck with.

It makes more sense imo for Arya to serve Tywin in the show than Roose in the books. The Starks and Lannisters are intensly intertwined and it's neat to have this little snapshot of one of the eldest and the youngest of each family gain an understanding of each other (if not unknowingly)
