You know an anime’s good when the death scene can make you cry without even watching the anime

Nunally's scream as the chant for Zero crescendo's sends chills down my spine everytime I see this section of the anime.

As much issues as I have with this anime, this ending + Lelouch’s character arc are hella goated. Probably the best ending of all time.

This ending made me cry tears, lelouch realizing what he has done and what the final step had to be done, from the beginning, he was destroying the world. Suzaku was ready to do all of this and carry the burden of being zero was brilliant. Lelouch character is the best thing about this series, such a brilliant protagonist could ever exist. This is what I want in every series, a well established conclusion and reason to end the series. I felt the pain of nunally a lot from this, she noticed how much of a good brother lelouch was, he did this all for her to be happy but he realized the true outcome of his own actions, still to me Lelouch was a hero. This series is definitely in my top 5 fav anime/manga.

I've seen many critics of Code Geass and I accept many of them, some I even agree with.
But nobody can ever deny that this ending is outstanding beyond words.

i cant believe people havent watch this masterpiece now a day. there is no anime that come close to code geass for me and it will always remain my favorite anime of all time.
