Check out this super easy solution to quickly plug a nail or screw hole in your tire and get back on the road! It’s never fun to get a flat tire, but with a basic tire plug kit you can usually solve the problem, at least temporarily. If the puncture is major or too close to the sidewall, plugs or patches may not be a good idea. It is always recommended that you visit an auto repair or tire shop soon after the repair to evaluate the tire for replacement. 1) Deflate the tire.
2) Use rasping tool to thoroughly roughen the hole.
3) Once you have the plug in the insertion tool, saturate it with glue.
4) Insert plug until about 1/2 inch is exposed, twist insertion tool 90 degrees.
5) Swiftly and very forcefully pull insertion tool out.
6) Reinflate the tire.
Do not drive aggressively (burn rubber, skid, lock up the wheels, 4 wheel slide, etc.) for 24 hours. The "repair" will last the life of the tire, so long as it's not the side wall.
