Love this kit, if you're lucky enough to have the puncturing object on your front tire(s), just leave your tire on, and turn your wheel so you have a better leverage. Takes 1 minute to do. The Slime Kit has repaired about 8 holes in the past few years for me. If possile, taking the tire off is better, makes it much easier.

Tyre technician here. You actually should twist the needle a few times before yanking it out. And its better to do this whilst there is air in the tyre.

Worked great on a large screw in my tyre. But small nails of about 4/5mm diameter.. make sure you have a battery drill to bore it out. Must have taken me 20 minutes of grunting to get that dam reemer in 😅

What happened to the rubber cement that used to be in these kits? Never had a problem with rubber cement. This new plug bond leaks like a sieve. Every morning have to add air. Now, after 5 days of driving on it, it suddenly stopped leaking air. Does it need cure time? Does it need temperature? BTW, installed patch with wheel on car, inflated, no Jack. Not easy to get enough leverage to push the plug in while lying on the ground.

Hmmm I’ve had this kit for a while. I remember the sawing back and forth but I used the wrong tool to do so. I’ll have to find a substitute and hopefully unlock an accomplishment my self 😂😅

first time I did it it worked well.
now my other car has a flat and did the same amd it didnt seal properly. I did put plentyof tire cement on the plug.. I read some pressure could help seal better (pushing the sealent through small cracks ?) so I did inflate to 15 psi after about 5-10 minutes and it started bubbling and slowly leaking. I deflated right it away and let it cure overnight but next day trying to inflate it leaked so bad that my vompressor wasnt even able to go pas 25psi amd went back to flat real quick.
. any recomendations on time to cure, and pressure to apply that could help dur8ng curing? Id like to at least be able to make to to a tire shop safely

How long should I wait before putting air back in the tire?

Im concidering getting a few of these since i want to go out to glass buttes to find obsidian and have heard that some people get unlucky and there we hidden shards of obsidian just under the surface of the dirt road and they ended up losing multiple tires. If i cant fully pull it out does the act of pushing it further into the tire cause problems later? Id just need the tires to last long enough to get home and get new tires.

Why does Slime packaging only show ATV, Trailer, motorcycle, tractor images on their packages? They never show images of cars or trucks? Are these not to be used for full size cars & trucks?

Are you supposed to the leave the excess plug sticking out or cut it off? I imagine it wears off in time.
