As a current med student:

Yes, they literally told me "You are brilliant and you will change the world. Here's a white coat."

Of course that was followed up with "here's 100 pages of reading you have an exam on it tomorrow, " but the attitude in that meme is spot on.

Having been a court clerk for 20 years I appreciated your comments about treating them well. Luckily in my case the judge listened to me more than the lawyers.

"Discussing the readings without having read the readings" is what I did in theatre studies, to such an extend that one of my professors actually thought I was one of the most hard working students in his class.

In reality I spent every seminar with half an hour of avoiding eye contact while other students answered questions, so I could get a grasp of what the seminar was even about. After that, I started asking very specific questions to fill in the blanks, which made it seem like I had read the whole text and was being critical about it xD

*PLOT TWIST!* LegalEagle is actually 25 years old and law school made him look older. The perk to this is that he looks really cool and people will be more likely to agree with him because he looks trustworthy. The downside to this is that he's in crippling debt and he chose to go to law school,
