how to properly double clutch upshifting and how to downshift.

Drove 33 years. The down shift properly done was a problem as I tended to over rev trying to watch the tac. Learned to shift w/o clutch and loved it. Stopped looking at tac and listened to motor.

I got the hang of double clutch during cdl training. Was so glad i passed so i could go back to a relaxed float shift. I rarely miss or grind a great floating. The double clutch method is just to many things going on. Most veteran truckers never have and never will double clutch because it's not really needed unless you not good a shifting.

Good shit. But after 19 yrs of driving, you'll learn u don't even need to use the clutch at all when shifting. Only use the clutch when stopping and taking off.

I don't double clutch ever and been driving manuals for over 30 years. Press clutch once hold it shift from one gear to another and release clutch. Done

Double-declutching is an obsolete technique now except for maybe truck drivers who use it often, but even trucks come fitted with synchronizers these days. However, it is a great technique to know when you want to shift gears smoothly. This method will also extend the life of your synchronizers.

That's use the engine timing to down change. You can use that revving technique in almost every vehicle, even in cars.
