I know you guys don't really care about this, but this is a pretty well known scam in the tinnitus community, with a massive marketing budget. You should have covered Susan Shore's tinnitus device, it actually works and doesn't make tinnitus worse.

I got invited by a local clinic to get the treatment. They wanted me to pay $250 to attend a seminar to learn more about the device. Seems like a scam.

@GMA Please read the other few comments. When appropriate and it's available, you also need to cover Susan Shore/University of Michigan Device. Testing for Dr. Shore's device was more rigorous and not rushed.

Luckily, I can sleep because I use two box fans as white noise they are a lifesaver. I would recommend this to anyone suffering from tinnitus.

GMA you've missed a potentially interesting story here. Lenire has pivoted from being an actual tinnitus treatment to (somehow) making tinnitus still be present but "less bothersome" (whatever that means). It doesn't work. Worringly, there are a number of reports of it making tinnitus WORSE for a cohort of people that is by no means small. The underlying science is sound, but Neuromod has made a lemon in a rush to get to market first. The CSO (Hubert Lim) conducted a very promising study into bimodal stimulation at UMINN but he joined Neuromod far too late. Serious questions need to be asked about the FDA approval. A similar device arising out of more rigorous studies at the University of Michigan led by Susan Shore is far more promising. That device will actually treat tinnitus and should be the subject of an FDA application soon. The worry tinnitus sufferers have is that the failure of Lenire will tar all subsequent devices with the same brush and set-back the development of poorly needed therapies. The FDA should seriously consider revoking Neuromod's approval.

CURED MY TINNITUS.My tinnitus was drivning me crazy and had a high pitch that would wake me up.I tried everything and finally saw a tmj dr and they made me a mouth guard that i sleep with and it dropped my tinnitus 99%.I stopped wearing the mouth gurd after 2 months and the noise came back and after wearing the mouth guard it stopped it again.I definetly reccomend a mouth peice.i was grinding my teeth at night amd the jaw muscle right by my ear was being affected. Also my posture causes my tinnitus to flare up like when i play video games on my couch i sit even and place pillows under both arms to support them so i doesnt strain my neck.i found when i strain my smc muscle that also triggers it also.I hope and pray this helps some of you.

I was so close to getting in the test group for Dr. Shore's device...I wish I had. I will parrot the others here. If the media is truly about journalism then you must cover the U of M Dr. Shore progress as well.

I just completed my 12 week, $4000 program and now my tinnitus is WORSE than ever.
This may work for you, but don’t be shocked if this devise actually damages your tinnitus!

I had this issue 3 times, i get ringing but i always could manage it when both my ears were at 100%, i was cleaning my ears like i do after a shower and suddenly the sound just cut off in my ear, now the ringing won't stop.

I have this especially in my right ear. Usually, I can ignore it pretty well even though when I notice it, it is quite loud. I wish I didnt have this condition though. This is great news and gives me hope!😊
