I had the same problem with my van (Renault traffic 2012) I go to a garage because my particle filter was blocked and didn’t work to have a force regeneration from scanner
And guess what? I sorted my self!:) buy a DPF cleaner and sprayed inside particle filter…leave it for 1-2 hours and after do a 20 min drive and you we’ll see a big smoke coming out from your exhaust! Job done particle filter clean only with 30£! People they have to learn, understand and listen their car engine..if you see your car start a regeneration make sure you leave her to finish the regeneration and don’t stop the engine before that!

Just put dpf cleaner in every fill up and you will avoid this problem

Soo would you recommend this over getting the DPF removed and cleaned that way? I've tried in-tank DPF cleaners, and they do not work at all.

You cleaned soot in the filter but can not clean metalic stuff from your oil so you will eventually need to replace it or cleaned properly
