I believe with many narcissists you don't have to do crazy stuff to annoy them. Just not giving them superior treatment/any attention will hurt them. Many of them are used to special treatment, because they bullied people into submission. If you are not one of those ppl, they feel shocked and offended.

Also our (victum) reaction and we engaging in a dialogue with them when they target misbehave or attack is a BIG SUPPLY n showing up as a dead beat dullard with zero emotions affected (kind of the Narc herself) is a MAJOR PUTDOWN. Tried n tested both n enjoyed seeing them feeling at loss.
Also, if life gives u an opportunity to dress up dancr n party with friends during u learn to ignore them there is no feeling more painful for them..but be aware celebrate with ur very trusted close chosen few who wont turn enablers if Narc strickes back in jealousy...its a big win feeling n very very very motivating

I learned my lesson to not pick a fight with a narcissist because they have enough gullible followers who will go great lengths to defend the narcissist and ruin the other person's life. I made that mistake once.

The best way for me to deal with a narcissist is to keep my distance. I pretend to fall for their manipulations but I always keep my own network of people who know better and try to warn others to be careful or make them question the narcissist's behavior by asking simple questions. Still a risky move that can easily backfire. But I can't just sit back and do nothing

Just literally forget him say goodbye in your head and only allow contact about basics but nothing that has to do with a relationship

I've even had my Attorney destroy my narc mother in a deposition. Even here own Attorney hated her and wanted to get it over with in the first 5 min. It went on for 6 hrs! She pulled out all her cards and at the end, it didn't even phase her.

Sometimes the victim doesn't even have to try too hard. They drove them up the wall to the point you blast off through the door saying you are sick of it and for the delicate female she may run off to her car crying and if someone sees then the narc will have to tell ppl some lies that it's your family that's hurting you on the phone or your child trust me they will find something. But of course they will tell you later that you are a disgrace without regard for your pain.
