When he ignored me, I gave the same treatment right back. After a week I gave him the option to talk or leave our shared flat, if he wouldn't talk - which he didn't. Dumped his ass after a couple weeks of him completely ignoring me. After almost 9 years of relationship. I'm worth more than letting myself get treated like this anymore. Save to say that he never apologized or even tried to justify his behavior.

When my covert narc gives me silent treatment or no reply I take it as a boon and do what I want. Don't bother about their silence nor react to it. We can find little peace by doing this 👍

Well, my narcissist ghosted me for over a week. I sent him a text and thanked him for the closure. Of course, he came with an array of sorry ass excuses and swore up and down he had been thinking about me and was just about to call me. YEAH RIGHT! This had become a pattern and each time the ghosting last a lil longer for simple reasons. I got on a dating app started having conversations with different people. Took the time to finish projects and working on myself. Sometimes it's just time to turn the page and start a new chapter. If they are ghosting you then ghost them back. For real

When my then-husband would dramatically go into silent treatment mode I would try one time to communicate with him, cheerfully. Then I would say well you appear to be in a bad mood so I am going to leave you alone now, and happily go about my day working outside and enjoying my horses and leave him alone to enjoy his pity party all by himself. I don't cater to toddler like behavior.

I tried this, but it was turned around on me. He said I was “being childish for getting him back”…and I fell into his trap; his web of disgusting distortion. I felt completely guilty and eventually became the rug he walked all over! These humans are absolutely twisted and the term “master manipulators” does not even come close to what they are.

That's the trap... and it's impossible to get not caught into it most of the time...but you gave the perfect solution and will follow this..!! Such people suck your happiness, joy and peace out of your life!!

Best to cut them off and go no contact. They will always punish you. It makes no difference best to cut your losses and move on.

Lol 😅 one week…these people in my family will go silent on me for months at a time … I do tend to respond right away because that’s what feels conscientious and respectful to me. I have stopped expecting a conversation or a reliable connection. Looks like they’ve trained me well!

Have tried that but he jumped into another relation just for fun and wants to get back by simply saying sorry and blaming me for his deed . Best is to walk away for ever or disappear .
