Ah gotta love the netbook craze. I had an MSI Wind Netbook circa 2008, it lasted a surprisingly long time given how crap it was...

I had several similar netbooks in the past. Usually what I do is upgrade the ram, change the HD to an ssd and replace Windows XP with Android x86 or a lightweight Linux distro. Perfect for emulation/retro gaming, light office work, media consumption and browsing.

Nice to see a netbook kept in such nice condition. Hard to believe its 10 years since these things were everywhere.

I have a laptop with similar specs, except that i put an ssd on it, it runs fawlessly for multitasking on win 7, sadly it can't run most games, but for studying/programming it runs perfect

One word: Linux. I have an Asus EeePC from about 2008, and while it's not currently working, when it was, it was a great Ubuntu machine. I originally had a 8GB Class 2 SD card with Lubuntu loaded as a dual boot, but as XP was a complete dog on the system even when new (It just didn't like the SSD or something), I eventually wiped it, installed Lubuntu on the built in SSD and used the SD card for my home folder. Thing ran like a champ until I attempted a RAM and SSD upgrade. Something didn't go right and it won't power on properly now, but it's a project for another day. In any case, you should have no difficulty turning that thing into a lean mean Linux machine.

You could boot a chrome OS or a light distro of Linux and it would be a great web browser. Maybe even android though drivers may be the main issue with any of these routes.
