The usb-c adapter did it for me. running 2 regular monitors and an ultrawide on a closed laptop. TY!

I do this except when I close my laptop I get a bit more fps in games.
Edit: you have to change what closing the lid does in control panel power options.

Got the direction wrong. It's USB C to HDMI. HDMI to USB C implies it would be some sort of capture card. it's an adapter. A splitter implies it will output two signals from one input- both signals being the same.

So putting both of those together, you described a device that takes one HDMI input and outputs that signal through some sort of serial interface to two different USB clients.

Surprisingly if you use an IO Gear bar you can get a Chromebook to display three separate external monitors and be able to move the cursor across all four monitors that's including the laptop seamlessly

There's I finite ways of doing it.
Most laptop have display port over USB c now
Mine have 3 video output that way.

Display port can be dasy chain, one output 3 monitors.
If you have thunderbolt you can buy some multi display dock.

You can use a display link adapter on usb

Your last and worst option is the generic USB to HDMI as the USB bandwidth is bad

The hdmi port uses you gpu and the splitter will use your integrated graphics

Your video was the most help as it spoke of specifications.
Question: Do you have 3 separate independent Displays?

Most laptops also support display port through thunderbolt which uses the dedicated gpu. Also are you sure that the hdmi out isn’t connected to the nvidia card? You can check that easily by just checking if there is like a nvidia high definition audio option.

Or its better using usb c to display port some laptops work and its better for running high end vr headsets or high refresh rate like above 60hz displays do note
*not all laptops gpu support higher refresh rate some of them can stop at 60hz only*

Theill use usb to Display the Video.

I think you reversed the 2 ports there, the hdmi actually use the GPU (the RTX) and the type c is the one that used the igpu

Damn Yang how do u have such a clean setup with just a laptop wonder what fps it gets

This is wrong. It's the other way round, the GPU normally runs though the dedicated HDMI port.

If your laptop doesn't support it, you can use a DisplayLink adapter.. which uses regular USB 3.0 and works with ALL laptops. They're more expensive though than the adapter you use in your video. I have one for my laptop, which does NOT support the adapter you use.
