Not sure what you mean by shut down. My computer will shut down randomly, but it's not usual shutdown, it's like when you plug out your laptop from battery and charger and screen goes black and laptop is just powerless. And the more I try to turn on again after this more frequent this behaviour gets. To the point that it wouldn't even boot into windows and shut off as soon as I turn on.

My gaming laptop shuts down like I don’t mean you see the windows screen it just goes black like randomly

Mine has a specific shutdown level it doesn't seem like the battery needs to be changed. Maybe a setting.

I was using my Lenovo thinkpad one night and it just shut off. I only use it occasionally too. It has a usb port so i mostly use it to transfer photography pictures to it. I had a bunch of pretty portraits and meaningful photos on. I have tried charging it over night, using a fan to cool it off etc and it wont turn on. Im so sad😭😭

my dell laptop is not responding it doesn't show the power light and the on light even if I put the charger on it doesn't respond, the laptop is a built in battery

My laptop doesnt actually shut down...its power is on but screen doesnt display anythingg

i think mines cuz of overheating like it always overheats every 10 flipping minutes
