While gremlins, goblins, and Mr. Burns may think it sounds like a good idea, would a world without the Sun even be possible? Dr. Moo sheds some light on this dark prospect in this week's Because Space!

One minor correction: Trolls could only survive with a comments section or forum to be fed by. :)

Great video Dr. Moo! It looks like you're getting more and more comfortable with the format as the videos go on. It's lovely to have you here on the channel!

Loved the show, the only thing I'd like to advise you, is to use both imperial and metric systems, or at least put a conversion on the screen

Kyle's job is science presenter, and he does it well. Dr. Moo's job is protecting other planets from microbial invaders, that's her full time job, and she does it well too. If y'all want expanded content on this channel, you're going to have to give her time to get used to being a science presenter. She's here, and that means she wants to do it and do it well, but it isn't her full time job. If she had to choose between memorizing scripts so she doesn't have to read from the teleprompter, and ensuring that we don't destroy budding ecosystems on other planets with our pathogens, I'd prefer she focus on the latter since literally no one else can do that job. In the meantime, cut her some slack. The showrunners are going to take constructive feedback because, believe it or not, they all (Moo included) want this to succeed. So be constructive and please stop being negative. Few people are stellar right out of the starting block.

Everyone complaining that Kyle wasn't the host today really needs to just calm down lol. Like seriously, they have literally said it several times now that on Monday's it would be "Because Space" with Dr. Moo. Kyle will be back for the next episode of "Because Science" so seriously just enjoy it.

Loving the addition!

My only criticism is that Dr. Moo sounds like she's reading from a prompter (which I assume she is). That'll change of course with comfort level and experience with the format, but we're not there yet. Just watch the early Because Sciences and you'll hear Kyle sounding similarly :)

LOVE IT though!!! Keep it going!

Hey Dr. Moo! My seven-year-old daughter Anna and I really enjoyed this episode. She wants to know how wide the galaxy is.

Thanks, and please have a great day!

The milky way and Andromeda galaxies are headed on a collision course. If during this collision our solar system was flung away from the galaxy, what differences would we experience? Would we even realize without technology? Would we be on a world with no stars, blank skies as we look up at night?

This is the type of new series that should have been a new channel. In addition to just fundamentally different content, it feels like it has a fundamentally different target demographic.

I still dislike the sun because even in winter, I'm at risk of sunburn and skin cancer. Honestly, if humanity was a nocturnal species, I would not mind a bit.
