There's a lot of talk these days about when and how we might all move to Mars. But what would it actually be like to live there? Mari Foroutan details the features of Mars that are remarkably similar to those of Earth — and those that can only be found on the red planet.

The person behind the lesson, Mari Foroutan died yesterday on the PS752 plane crash in Iran. She was a great person and academic. RIP.

And... If you are astonished, instead of saying:
"What on Earth?!"
You could say:
"What on Mars?!"

I opened a pub there, but it didn't work out, no atmosphere!

Don't worry, Trump will build a wall to keep the radiation out, and he'll make Mars pay for it.

and if you live in mars and make a family your children will not be able to visit earth and enjoy it because of weaker bones and muscles caused by the low gravity

I would voluntarily move to mars with ticket home as long as: 1.I had a pleasant life and proper living quarters 2.I lived with other like minded Individuals and could talk with earth 3. I was doing science on and exploring mars

Nice pitch, but I'm very homely here on Earth. I think nature offers a better contract :-)

There's no atmosphere because the sun had blown it away. That's due to the lack of a magnetosphere, because the core is no longer molten like earth. To keep exposure from the sun's radiation to a minimum one should ideally burrow underground. Olympus Mons would be ideal as there should be lava tubes in and around that extinct volcano.

That being said, if all the requirements for human life was met, I would live there. I have a great desire to live alone.

I'm extremely curious to see how animals from our own planet would evolve on mars, given the low gravity and environment.
