Nothing is more reliable or consistent than Scotty's use of arm/hand gestures.

One big critical item that many owners don’t know about are those stupid plastic transmission oil cooler line couplings underneath the radiator. If they get damaged or worn out, they’ll break open and drain out all the trans fluid while driving. Once that happens, the transmission is toast.

As a transmission/torque converter company, you’re 100% right Scotty. The transmission industry is struggling to find good technicians.

Bought a brand new 03 ford f150 in 03 and now has 162k miles, changed tranny fluid at 53k, still runs showroom. Scotty told me to keep it, you got that right..!

A real off-roader told me all these “sport off roader” vehicles you buy are a WASTE of money when you spend 99.9% of time on pavement.

Soooo... it's been used hard, some parts needed replacing and it's really not falling apart after all...

Most transmission shops use mostly used parts in their rebuild. The good shops will offer a lifetime warranty but they're also $ 1 to $2k more than their competitors. The lifetime warranty is subject to change at any time.

I have a heavy foot from time to time, my 2010 F150 Texas Edition has just over 234.000 (original engine/tranny) & still spins tires when i mash the motor sometimes even in 2nd it'll sqeek'em, kept up with maintenance & it keeps me happy.

My 04 Grand Cherokee is lifted 4 inches with 3 inch offset wheels and 32 inch tires.its primarily used off road and in winter. It's been perfect, other than brake pads and tie rods. 180, 000 miles. My new one has been in the shop for 4 weeks.

Yet another vehicle that Scotty recommends but warns you about. I did pickup a 2011 F150 Lariat in 2021 with 117k miles. Has around 122k miles on it now after almost 2 years. Runs fine, and doesn't seem to have any issues that I can tell. Now I don't drive much, but it is typically my daily run-about. I think the guy before me did reasonably well at caring for it. Hoping to get another 10 years out of it before considering a brand new truck for the first time.

My 2005 F-150 FX-4 has 191K miles on the original 4 speed transmission. I've had the truck since new. Have changed the transmission fluid a few times over the life of the truck, and it's still going. It's starting to feel a little shuddery at times, so I know it's approaching end of life.

I have the 6L80E transmission their weakest point is their torque converter (6L80E) so I dropped my transmission and switched out the 6L80E torque converter for a 6L90 torque converter and upgraded my transmission cooler with a much larger one. Now I have a great reliable transmission.

My 2013 F150 has been nothing but good to me. Zero problems in 10 years.

My father always said "yes you can get just as much horsepower out of a smaller (cubic inches) Engine than you can out of a big traditional V8, BUT it will wear itself out much faster"

Scotty my 4.6 cougar has survived a beating up until 190k miles still running strong. Old modular motors sound amazing and they're very reliable from my experience.
Edit: I stand corrected. 190k was all she had.

I have a 2005 F250 Superduty. It’s a diesel and the suspension is 100% stock and is gonna stay that way. Just passed 110K miles! It’s gonna be my last pickup.😊

Who was that walking up, Scotty? Grandson?😂
