I actually ordered my XLT Hybrid mid August in Velocity Blue.. it suits all my needs.. I don't need a huge truck or huge payment.. plus now EPA rated 42 mpg in the city.. 33 hwy.. 37 mpg combined!

I just got mine delivered 2 weeks ago. And I am very impressed by this little truck. It has everything I need to haul my gear. And go camping. Makes it very easy to park. And it fits in my garage!! My model is the xlt with fx4 package. Only thing I'm bummed about it does not have sport mode 😪 😕. But I have tuned it and makes a huge difference. Very impressive. I think this truck will out sell any other trucks on the market.

Nice detailed review!! With that said I ordered a Lariat AWD with the 2.0 Ecoboost motor. I've had full & mid-size trucks & now that I'm retired, I have no need for a full-size truck. This Maverick fills in all the boxes for me. I don't plan on towing anything & do a little camping & light off-road with it. So it works for me.

I'm looking into getting one of these as an upgrade from a Honda Accord and while a lot of truck people are talkimg about how the bed is too small it looks to be exactly what I need, I don't need a massive bed I just need a little more space than I already have, it looks like the perfect size for putting my rifle cases in.

If I may be permitted to criticise one thing, though, (and this is something that no one considers when doing their reviews) is the crash test results of the IIHS. This is such valuable information, it should be the first thing we ask when considering buying a new vehicle.

I'm actually happy that the XLT has a switchblade key. Had too many problems with fobs or push-button starters with my last two vehicles. A key is just more reliable and doesn't rely on a battery. Truck is pretty future proof keeping the regular key and keeping a simple climate control with physical buttons

I have one. And I've always had full size trucks. I consider the Mav to be a utility vehicle and not a truck because it can only handle light duty hauling and pulling. I bought it for mainly economy reasons and the easy city driving. So far I'm very happy with my 2.0 AWD fx4.
