Red Meat: How much is Too Much- Thomas DeLauer… What is the link between red meat and weight loss? And what is the link between red meat and our hormones? I'm a guy that's not a huge proponent of eating large amounts of meat, but I also have to do a service to those that are watching this video and lay out the facts. So what I want to do here is I want to explain how red meat is linked with our testosterone, linked with our estrogen, but also how much red meat you can away with consuming before it ever becomes dangerous or ever becomes a cancer causing issue.

So, let's take a look at the science and let's do some deep-dive into the hormones, into the frequency, and also into what you can do personally. Let's go ahead and start off with the link between red meat and testosterone and estrogen.

It does not matter if you are male or female, we still have to take a look at these two pivotal hormones, because they play such a role when it comes down to our body composition, but also how we feel. The first thing we want to look at is the link with red meat and the mineral known as zinc.

It's pretty common knowledge that red meat has zinc. It's fairly common knowledge, at least on the internet, that zinc helps to unlock testosterone. But scientists and researchers don't really know why. You see, all they've really found is a correlation. When zinc levels are low, testosterone levels are low.

We can start to hypothesize it has to do with the estrogen component, which I'll explain in just a minute.

The other thing we have to look at with red meat, is the high levels of what is called Arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid is, unfortunately, an omega-6. Now, omega-6s I'm not a big fan of, but in small amounts, they do play a big role.

Arachidonic acid plays a very powerful role when it comes down to steroidogeneses, which is the creation of testosterone in the testes of men, and actually a little bit in a small degree in the ovaries of females.

I just cannot explain how appreciative I am for how understanding and loyal all of my fans and followers are.

Just so that everyone knows, the reason that I feature products in my videos is so that I can continue to produce content for you all for free. I never want this to become a thing that goes by the wayside because it just gets too expensive to do.

So just know that even though I feature products in many of my videos, we are always doing our due diligence to reach out to products that I actually use so that we can implement them into the Channel effectively.

Producing content is not cheap at all. Especially at the volume and level of research that we do. So in order to keep it up, I just ask that you understand why I feature my recommended products in videos :-)

I eat red meat almost every day. There is nothing wrong with eating it. I get ribeyes mostly for the extra fat. Been doing mostly carnivore most days and the fat has been falling off despite eating 6oz of bacon a day too. Eggs, pork chops, chicken thighs, , salmon, liver ect

Between your videos and Berg's I am fed up with all the ways the U.S puts profit before our health and the health of the animals we consume.

If you really want to know how red meat affects you, go to a carnivore group and listen to those who have eaten nothing but red meat for 10, 15 and even over 20 years. These are the only people who are not spouting theories, but have first hand knowledge of what it does for your body.

Sorry to say but butcher box is definitely not cheaper than the grocery store.. They charge about $10/pound!
Aldi sells 100% grass fed beef for under $5/pound

I find myself saying this every time now, but this is my favorite video so far. Why? I've been eating a Weston A. Price style diet for about 15 years and it healed my gut and saved my life. Ive tried, macrobiotic, raw, vegan, vegetarian, KETO you name it...and this has been strictly for health, not weight, related reasons. The source of our food is EVERYTHING. Garbage in-garbage out: The artificial in anyone's diets are killers, peroid. It's such a no-brainer. Thanks for another truly important and great video.

As a European that moved to the US this year, I can tell you most of the meat here is terrible (In fact, most of your food is terrible! Why do you put sugar in everything?!)
If you want good stuff, and you do have it, it's so much more expensive!

Bison, elk, moose, venison, grass fed beef. Pretty much all i have been eating for the last three weeks. I have lost 15 pounds of fat and feel better than ever. I used to be a vegan. When I was vegan I ate all the right things and was meticulous about my diet. Had never felt worse. One day had to go to the ER due to massive inflammation throughout my entire body. Couldn't walk or move really. Doctors had no idea why my markers were so high.

So 6'2" 175lb male here. I'm active and work out. Is 3oz red meat per day okay? I have 2 salmon for lunch and some chicken at dinner. With random healthy sides. 45-50g protein per meal. 150~ total per day. But red meat wise...this should he OK right? Thinking about going venison. With 2 eggs in the am with some good cheese and milk. Yeah boyyyy

FINALLY! A comprehensive video on the differences the grass fed vs conventional meat has on the body when these "MEAT = BAD" studies are done.
How about a vid about raw red meat vs cooked? Grass fed from a traditional farm of course.

The why the people that ate more red meat lost more weight was because the red meat does something very interisting, is that red meat has too much purines, and purines activates the sympathetic system, when this happens, the rate of speed of lipo-oxidation increases, and this makes that you can burn more fat, and makes that you can produce more cortisol, and this makes that you can lose more weight, and this stimulating the sympathetic system stimulates the thyroid to produce more T4, and this makes that you lose more weight, and sympathetic stimulates your testicules, and this makes that you can produce more testosteron and this makes that you can burn more fat.

What kind of roast beef are you getting in the states? It’s NOT a processed meat anywhere I’ve seen. It’s a slab of cow, roasted. Pretty darn healthy surely...

So we should consume 1lb of meat or 4-y ounces?
