Election and Predestination

Originally preached on September 2, 1855, this is a clear and needful sermon on a subject that has been woefully neglected by the Church today, yet it is a crucial doctrine to understanding "Free Grace" and living a humble Christian life.

We should rejoice at the fact that God Almighty chose us elected us and predestined us to be sons through Jesus Christ we should rejoice and be glad I know I am and am thrilled and love the fact that God would choose me and make me his son I’m glad to have it I’m glad to know it and I am in agreement with what God says and those who reject it I pray their eyes be opened to it it’s the truth

This sermon is real Christianity, this is pure GODLY teaching....if this man was alive today to see the state of the American Christian Church, or worse the state of the English Prostetant teaching in the UK today, he would be horrified. The toxic hypergrace movements, the entitlement where church is more of an entertainment rather a place of holy worship. The lifestyles of Christians embracing the things of the world, while claiming to be saved. The ungodly teachings of a waterdown gospel and Jesus, the leaders of the church aligning with worldy teachings of transgender, climate change, social justice and love wins. The arrogance of having GOD serve us, and removing the Fear of the Lord. We are truly living on borrowed time, bc we are way over due for GODs wrath to finally put an end to this madness.

It amazes me that we argue truth, far more than we share testimony. I struggle with the latter constantly. And O, how I know, I have been saved! Thank You King Jesus!

We live in a world full of a mountain of cares and concerns but this and other sermons from Spurgeon give me peace. New questions are not being asked. New concerns do not exist. The more I experience and understand the more I see This life as nothing more than a little bit of history repeating, which is comforting. There truly is nothing new Under the Sun. Eccl 12:3 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. If you understand this, You can go about your day in peace, and that's all you need to know.

Wait a minute now!! He has made it more clear then anyone I’ve heard in 25 years. I’m good with if you don’t desire it then your not elected. Because I struggle but hate sin. I want God and holly ness so I must be elect . Might sound selfish but I do not want hell!!!

I love the teaching of Charles Spurgeon, I thanks God for using many real followers of God to spreading the truth. We have today, John MacArthur., RC sproul, Steven Lawson, and some other teachers of the Word of God.

I don’t think I am of elect. I believe this doctrine. But I agree it is hard, that no matter how much I want to be saved I can’t be. For those that aren’t saved, it’s understandable why we don’t want to believe it. But it is clearly taught in scripture.
