This is why we can't prove God's existence to someone else, but God can prove his existence to us once we choose to believe in him. This is God protecting our free will, because if someone proved God's existence externally we would cease to be free to choose to believe in him, and thus the measure of our heart's true desire could never be discerned. We must choose where we belong, in God through Christ, or without God apart from Christ. To be with God is to believe in his Word, the revelation of his Love for us, and to doubt that love is to be separated from God. Acceptance of Christ is acceptance of God's love, and deception cannot exist where the truth of the light of God's love abides in you. Keep up the good work Frank.

I have a copy of "Chosen but Free" on my bookshelf because I heard Dr. Turek mention it in other talks. Excellent book, it really clears up the confusion regarding predestination versus free will. Highly Recommend!

I think some people forget that they are mere creation. Some people forget how powerless they truly are. Who can escape death? Who has ever been able to put themselves in their mothers womb to be born?

Free will is the key to love. Frank explains this very well 👍 Free will is of course rejected by atheists, since they don’t want to be ultimately responsible for their sinful lives. The difference being that Christians realise they are sinful and in need of redemption.

Because scripture teaches both that we have the capacity to make choices but are chosen. God is in control. Not man. We are freely able to do what God has predestined since the foundation of the Earth.

I have rewatched movies knowing what the characters are going to do. But I never presume they didn’t have their own choices, even though I’d seen the movie already.

If God knows the end from the beginning that doesn't take away from free will. It just means God knows what we will choose.

I like Frank’s answer here. This is something I’ve asked myself while reading the Bible and this is the answer I also came to. Just because God knows what we will do with our free will doesn’t mean we don’t have it.
