Well, they left out one line. Just after saying "I am the watcher on the walls" they were supposed to say "I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers". Still awesome, though.

I like how Sam chose to say his vows under a weirwood tree even though thats not what he was raised to believe in, just so Jon wouldn’t have to do it alone

Its amazing how both Sam and Jon have everything the vows forbade to, and yet they havent broken a single vow. Sam is no father but has a child as his own(Little Sam), a wife figure(Gilly). Jon’s watch ended when he died. He has the land of North, is crowned a King and both brothers have been the light in the darkness. Both have won glories.

I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. Just read this chapter in the books, and I immediately came to this scene. God season 1 was perfect.
