How to Stay Motivated in Long Term Minecraft Worlds

My motivation comes from wanting to have the most long term world I can possibly have. I will die before I ever finish my world. I love the technical side of Minecraft but I'm not smart enough to make my own contraptions so right now im just trying to make as many possible farms as I can for each farmable resource but at the same time I make them in locations that I will know is future proof. After I make all the farms I will finally start working on the decorative side of the world and it will be like I'm starting the world over without having to make a bunch of farms first to get those resources. My world is almost a year old and I haven't even scratched the surface of what I will want it to be like eventually.

I thank you for giving tips on how to survive i made a hardcore world 3 days ago and I'm now in day 61!

If you're like me and play too much (burning out of it), take breaks. Play something else for a bit. If you don't know what to build get some inspiration from your surroundings in real life, from movies or other content on the internet or minecraft builds. Try to limit copying things from others too much as it kind of feels meaningless to do so.

Also, make things easy. If you need hard-to-get items like quartz, or similar items, use villagers and a raid farm!
If you need iron, make an iron golem farm etc.

My friend wants to dig out the end by hand/handplaced tnt, so we made a creeper farm and excavate the nearby desert to get that TNT. Endermen XP farm is a must have! Say what you want but getting XP is painfully slow without farms.



You can do amazing and huge projects in minecraft but efficiency in preparation saves you so much time.

Of course afking these is another step but I find that studying while afking is a great way to be able to study at my pc, because then I won't be able to play or in the case of my raid farm move my mouse :)

Of course this isn't required at all, if you like to play slow go for it!

I had this whole D&D world planned for my friends, but then covid hit. So, I built it in minecraft.

I have a baby goat farm it doesn’t give me xp or food. It just gives me enjoyment

I like minecraft but, i havent found the correct and best way for me to play. I wanna build nice structures but it doesn't just work out. I play on ps3 and i am so demotivated that I'm stuck in 1.13 and I'm jealous of other versions.

I'm planning on making a horror world dedicated to horror films like buddy childs play etc and horror games like poppy playtime and fnwf etc so any ideas will help rep, t if u have any ideas?

I am here after my world got corrupted the only backup I have is three days earlier, but in the time I have lost a train, auto potato smelter, semi auto wheat farm, all my RSS like diamond, netherite my custom made village I made based on 19th japan
