How to Properly Try on Inline Skates for Fit

Don't forget about break-in time! Skates should fit snug out of the box and break in over time (typically a few hours). Don't assume too small and be sure to try on properly.

Inline skates are meant to fit tighter than shoes for better performance and response. Skating is side-to-side rather than front-to-back like when running or walking. Extra room within the boots allows for loss of energy when striding.

K2 Skates will stretch and break in a bit with some use. They should be pretty snug bordering on uncomfortable to start, or they will grow loose after a break in period.
​Don't be more than quarter inch from tip of the skate, toes should lightly touch the end of the toe box. Muchlooser and you will wind up with foot problems.

Hello, I've just received a Maxxum Edge 125 from Rollerblade and I think they are too tight for me. The length is good but my feet are extra wide (EEE). I bought a 7.5 one because I use boots and shoes size 7 or 7.5, depending on the model, but these skates seem are too tight! I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes on these even without tightening the laces what so ever with extra thin socks. My feet are quite unique in size: 9.153 inches in length (equivalent to a 6.5) but 4 inches wide (equivalent to a regular 9 in width). What do you suggest? The next size for this model is 8.5. Thank you!

Just bought some skates. And when I walk they lean out, like if I’m about to break my ankle! I’m size 9.5, & bought them 10. Since they don’t have any 9.5. Any idea?
