I couldn't agree more on all of these points! And this comes from someone that has been as an actual LIVE tech support person. I am so critical now when I get put into the Seventh Circle of Hell of the support universe. I wonder if any of these CEOs or COOs actually try to use their support service to feel the pain. :-(
