How to Manually Move Videos from Classic Stream to New Stream

This tutorial will demonstrate how to manually move videos from Classic Stream to New Stream. Microsoft is in the process of sunsetting Classic Stream but the time line can be a bit different depending on the type of organization you work for. None the less videos will need to be moved based on the timeline that applies to your organization. There are two ways to move the videos. One is a tool that only global admins can use and the other is to manually move videos. This video of for those who want to manually move videos. Please know that you will lose some data moving videos this way such as support for classic URL. If you must move the video manually you will get a new URL and will have to replace the old URL in any of the SharePoint sites, documents, Teams, etc where the old URL existed.

To reinforce, I am not an admin and for sure not your admin. The process in this video is one way to move videos from Classic to New Stream. Please check with your organization to see if they have a migration plan that includes using the migration tool. My video is not meant to supersede the plan your company may have.

In my organization in migration tool orphan video container is showing 0 videos. I am sure we have plenty of videos whose owner left the organisation. Any idea why there are no orphan videos showing?
