Everyone likes to claim they're professional wildlife/nature photographer, Simon is clearly the real deal. Learned a lot from this channel.

As a total beginner to manual, this is the first video I've seen on the exposure triangle that actually mentions the light meter, so thank you!

This is probably the most helpful video I've seen. You have a way of taking something that can seem complicated and overwhelming and explaining it in an easy to understand way. The 3 scenarios you went through simplified not just how the settings work, but how they work together. Thank you.

Every time I open this channel I'm tempted to hit the like button from the beginning...
Simon is the teacher I enjoy watching! Once again, thanks for the explanations!

Beyond just more creative control, manual shooting makes you slow down and spend more time looking at your composition. Even if you're someone who shoots mostly in aperture priority or full p (totally valid choices just to reiterate Simon's point), manual shooting can be a great way to break yourself out of a rut

Thank you, thank you thank you Simon. You are the first person I have seen on YouTube who has shown the 3 options to start with for a specific scene and explained it simply. I have struggled with metering in manual mode. New to DSLR. I have a better understanding now. You have a new subscriber 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

FINALLY. A video that helped me. I was so confused on how to jumble all 3 settings at once at the slightest bit of movement or light change. I think I've got it. Thank you SO much!

Simon, your videos finally gave me the initiative to get out there and start to experiment with shooting in manual and it's finally starting to all make sense to me. Thank you!

Finally! Someone sharing helpful information in a way that is non-intimidating, exceptionally clear, and appropriately concise. I'm waiting for my new camera to arrive, and looking forward to taking some great beginner shots using the knowledge you've shared here. You're an outstanding teacher. I've subscribed and will be watching more. Thank you.

Great tips for beginners like myself. Glad I found your channel. I learned so much this last couple of weeks. I'm now shooting in Manual Mode with Auto ISO. The biggest thing for me was finding out about that exposure meter and how to get it to zero. Before I didn't have a clue about that thing. Thanks so much.

Sometimes I reflect on what a miracle it is to have videos like this freely and readily available...
I remember seeing this video as I was switching to manual mode, about 8 months ago, and now I've returned to see the video through a new lens. Going manual wasn't as daunting as I though, and starting with ISO in auto mode made things easier, when I wasn't very quick with the settings.

This video is super helpful for explaining, ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture and how to treat them. Think I watched like 3 others before and this one made the most sense to me. Thank you.

Best exposure triangle video i have seen. the way you explain how to use the exposure triangle with examples and shutter speed references was exactly what i wanted to find when i started shooting manual. 3 years later and still helpful thank you

Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Being an amateur photographer means you are always learning.
Quite often you can understand something singular but put into practice with other variables sometime make them confusing.
Your tutorials in particular this one, helps understand the the singular and how it works in conjunction with its variables.

Every now and then the penny drops and you see the big picture, it is so enlightening. Thank you for putting it all into perspective!
