Thermal vision is seriously amazing - it's totally changed the way we see and interact with the world. I've been using my P2 Pro thermal camera for things like checking out my house and observing wildlife, and it's just so cool! It's a total game-changer for sure.

Thermal vision has some advantages over the natural visible light vision that we have as you mentioned in your video. However, a disadvantage of having thermal vision instead of visible light vision is that high spatial resolution in microscopy would be harder to achieve because microscopic objects that are smaller than half the wavelength of the light that the microscope detects cannot be resolved, i.e., seen distinctly, but will be seen as a blur. Infrared light has longer wavelengths than visible light.

In that case, we may need to conduct research into developing microscopes that can convert the then-invisible "visible light" into visible infrared light like how thermal cameras convert infrared light into visible light.

you also gotta think about the fact that sneaking out for teenagers would be much more difficult.
vaping in school wouldn’t even be a thing anymore.
no such thing as hiding around the corner anymore, warfare would get a lot more complicated.
we would probably be a lot more technologically advanced, as we probably would’ve mastered temperature manipulation to a degree we possibly couldn’t comprehend, given that we have been granted this ability since the first documented human.
say goodbye to having sex in the park in the middle of the night
to hiding under the bed or in the closet when burglars break into your home, kidnap your parents and find you too
to sneaking into a friend’s house
you’d actually be able to tell if your spouse is lying if you asked them if they cheated
your vision would be flooded with white and red on hot summer days and blue and green on cold winter days.
crime rates and patterns would be completely different due to the reason stated above.
of course we would gain the ability to see another range of the light spectrum—
but we would lose many of the freedoms and the opportunity to experience everything we do today.
