Just to avoid any misinformation.. the first liquid she sprayed on the hair was NOT WATER. I would bet it was isopropanol (or some other alcohol). You can see this bc the hair didn’t actually burn, the liquid it was in caught on fire. Also the heat protectant won’t be that good, the hair was just wet when she put the flame to it so of course it won’t light on fire if the heat protectant is water based (see the steam coming off of it before the jump cut).

Edit = guyzz i am not saying heat protectant is not good... Although they are good but see I am saying that if you use something like plain water instead of heat protectant then that will also not catch fire.... Also it's heat protectant not fire protectant... She is using fire 🔥🔥

Heat and flame are two different things. One is an increase in temperature while the other is combustion. Some heat protectants might be oil or alcohol based and put a protective coating on the hair but it will obviously be flammable.

Spray it as usual on your hair when you are using styling devices and then test on part of your hair. We dont drench our hair in protectant like that right?

You could also test it but using cotton instead of hair because its easier to see the burns on cotton
