A friend of mine is a "jägarsoldat" similar to specialisted rangers. What he did in his squad was basically digging a dirt gloryhole, stick it in laying down and relief. I mean it does sounds like it works, and they never got into any troubles for it.

how does heat signature looks like behind a layer or multiple of a flynet that you put normally on a window. A designated marksmen said once they used it to concele themself when in positions in buildings so you cant see inside.

Might also work in a trench, to hide muzzle fire and the own silluette.
