The big issue with the RAV4 PLUG-IN is the $10, 000-plus price difference with the regular hybrid. It doesn’t make economic sense for most people.

I have had several city trips in our 2021 Venza Limited that were between 3.5 - 3.7 L/100 km (67-63 mpg). Love it, especially with gas prices where they are.

I think these numbers are all regulated. With today’s tech we should be getting over 50mpg in my opinion.

The sacrifices involved in tolerating the cramped interior of the UX certainly do not pay off in increased mpg. We will have to see if the upcoming Corolla Cross Hybrid is just as disappointing compared to the RAV4 Hybrid. All in all, the Highlander Hybrid's mpg is the most impressive of the bunch.

But typical buyers are too cheap to buy the hybrid trim as they’re usually the highest cost. What can these typical buyers do? Or they seem to say, I need to tow 7000lbs and a hybrid won’t do.

I average over 32 mpg in my non hybrid awd 2021 rav4 so this list doesn't make much sense cause it's only showing hybrids.

I love CR, but... how is ANY all-electric SUV not hugely more fuel efficient than ANY gas-powered or hybrid SUV? In fact, aren't all of the fully electric SUVs getting over 100 MPGe? Start with the Tesla Long Range Model Y at 122 MPGe... kinda puts those 37 MPG 'leaders' to massive shame...
