People complaining about Kamala not having enough energy is partially valid as she is very focused on not saying anything controversial and sticking very hard to her script. Her partner on the other hand is the one with the energy. Tim Walz is the energy of their ticket and it’s a good dynamic in my mind. Her as the executive is primarily focused her mission while he is the Sam Gamgee of the ticket.

I thought Momala was solid in that interview. She was asked difficult questions and answered them succinctly. We are grading Trump on a curve and expect way too much from regular politician like Harris.

If you expect her to literally call Trump Hitler you're going to be disappointed. It's hard to do that and also say that "political violence has no place here". One or the other. We don't want the other. Also, their strategy of framing them WEIRD more than EVIL, is working. They are evil, but it's not a talking point independents react well to. This interview was fine by itself, was awe inducing in comparison to whatever comes out of Trump's mouth. LET HER COOK.

Republicans think this is what getting cooked in an interview looks like but think trump going on a rant about nasty questions, complaining about delays and making dumb racist comments is either a good interview or its the interviewers fault for not asking him about why Jesus chose him to save us all, uhhh huh

I’ve watched this whole interview before and she did a great job. She killed it. Trumps side are crying foul because he had a shocker interview. The big baby was an hour late as he argued that he didn’t want them to fact check him .

Australia here. Sure Harris’s tone is a bit stiff and over rehearsed at times but on the whole she is knocking it out of the park. She does come off as VERY sincere, especially when talking about the care economy, and otherwise just sounds like a well informed politician with a CLEAR policy platform who is across the issues of the day. All in all she has exceeded all of my expectations, I think she is doing a REALLY good job. I just pray she is elected, not just for your sake there in the US, but for the world’s. Vote Blue kids!

I really wish we could apply the same standards across the board. At least Kamala’s coherent and not crying about how mean the interviewer was. A lot of these questions aren’t simple to answer and she at least gives an answer. Might not agree with it but it’s an answer. I do agree that the messaging needs to get more aggressive

As someone who works in the daycare industry, it is not as simple as "taking care of a bunch of pigs in a pen". Taking care of just one toddler is already taxing; ask any parent. Think of it like taking care of a extremely drunk person who insists they're fine but wants to go jump off the table. But if you add one more child, you double the difficulty. I would say it should be maximum 3 toddlers to one staff member, but I know where I live they stretch it to 10 toddlers to one staff member, which is absolutely insane. I'm currently a nanny, and I get many ads from fathers who just want a nanny for the one day of the weekend where they have custody. Meaning they can't handle parenting even just one day a week. It's an "easy" job in the sense you don't need technical training, but don't think it's easy like looking after someone's pet. It's more like looking after an extremely drunk, energetic person.

The problem is the answer to are you better off now than 4 years ago is just objectively yes without a doubt, but if a majority of the country says they don’t *feel* better you can’t just say yes and risk “insulting” their feelings

Kamala did fine. It's just hysterics to believe that she "got cooked" here.

Regardless of how you take what she said, it should be pointed out more often that this interview alone proves that 1. She can speak during an interview fine and 2. She can memorize her notes very effectively and would not need notes or an earpiece to handle these questions. She's fast, her words make sense vs any current Trump speech, and she actually does explain her plans unlike Trump.

The quality of her plans? Varies. But we can confirm that she definitely can speak about them at length without confusing entire countries with states or claiming a whole group of people are eating pets. She's solid in terms of speaking and memorization, demolishing rightwing projecting to protect Trump's awful debate performance.

I like this type of delivery. It may not resonate to others. For me it is getting policies explained.

I watched the whole thing she did not get cooked

Vaush, have you considered that I like hearing the same democrat talking points 24/7?

She could have done better but compared to her opponent, she might as well have knocked it out of the park.

I hate this "Better off than 4 years ago" kindergarten journalism. They say it like it is some mic drop WOW factor question and it's a hackneyed cliche.

I like her calm and rational way of speaking far more than the bombastic bullshit that came out of Trumps mouth.

I think she sounded measured and authentic. And she did answer the question without the political theatrics.

For people who think Kamala is boring:

Keir Starmer is boring AF - that’s why I voted for him. Now our politics is being handled by grown ups (just look at Starmer’s cabinet).

Politics should be boring - it’s not entertainment, it’s about who can get the job done. Kamala did very well, stuck to her points and I hope she wins the presidency.
