For the base palette, I would also include a tube of burnt umber - it usually doesn’t break the bank but helps a lot to mix warm darks, and it also mixes a nice (but a bit transparent) black with ultramarine

Your comments about composition, seeing the mundane daily life things actually as a painting, as well as your observation about framing a painting, and of course, grinding through fundamental steps and mastering those resonates with me. Those are all true with my photography.

I was pleasantly shocked the first time I spent $45 framing one of my decent black-and-white prints. It actually made me happy to see the print, ha ha.

Learning the fundamentals of basic photography, composition, lighting and angle allows my mind’s eye to see the world as a photo study… it’s great!

I think your approach to these instructional videos is perfect for me. You don’t spend 48 minutes talking about how to see an apple. So thank you for that!

Great lesson. Thank you. I attend courses and however very nice teachers did not explain to all students importents of composition and how to use colos only correct individually each ones. In my opinion it takes longer for students to learn on their own mistakes.
