I used to work at a Double Tree by Hilton and I saw all sorts of nasty shit in the rooms. I can say that the washer and dryers did not clean off most of the body hair from the sheets and towels and we had to put them back up in the rooms. Also, we were paid per hour, flat rate fee, not by room. And you had 30 minutes to clean each room.

FYI as a Housekeeper/room attendant I can tell you most of that info is wrong. We are not paid by room, we're do 4-8 hour shifts. We thoroughly clean rooms, we change bedding, towels, dust, wipe every touchable surfaces and even clean the carpets everyday. Yes all that goes on our carts

Well when you book a reservation though a third party site like Expedia and trivago those websites often make the reservations regardless the hotels actually have rooms or not. You aren't actually booking it through the hotel itself. You actually have to call the hotel if you want to make a reservation thru the hotel
