When you are speaking with the FD agent, don't interupt them, allow them to finish, you may just get the next answer in the speech they have to give you. When checking out of the hotel and there is an issue on the bill. First give them your room number, give them time you open your folio and than see what they can do about the issue.

Don't expect the pinthouse if you book through priceline or orbits. You will get a room. Don't think that just because you asked for a non-smoking room you will get it. A person that is paying 150.00 for a room will get a non-smoking room and a person paying 55.00 will get the smoking room. If there is one non-smoking room left and two people with a reservation, who do you think will get the non-smoking room? 150.00 or 55.00???

Don't call in or come in at 1:00 a.m. on the 4th and ask for an early CI. Hotels work a day behind. If it is the 4th. the hotel is on the 3rd. if you CI at that time, you will be charge for the 3rd. Don't argue with the agents about it. If you let them know that you know about it, they may only charge you for 1/2 day charge, if you are unruly about it, you will be asked to leave and will be charge a NS.

Some other things, don't come to the front desk and the first thing you do is "I need the manager!" Don't start yelling at the FD agents. If you are staying at an airport hotel. Don't tell the FD agents that you have been standing there for over an hour and you have seen the same van 3 times. Some hotels have 3 or 4 vans, some hotels have one or two. Ask them FD agent what is the schedual the van leaves the hotel and you do the math.

If you call the hotel and they put you on hold, that means that they are extremly busy with other guests. Hang up and call back about 5 mins. later, they are usually not busy with other guests. If you call from the room and they put you on hold, don't come down 5 mins. later and start yelling at them for putting you on hold and tell them that they were not busy. You are on the only guest in the hotel.

If there is a line for the FD, wait your turn. Don't come down and skip the line and start yelling at the FD agents. That shows them that you are an idot and they will take their sweet time in doing anything and if they are with a guest and you do that, that pisses them off even more and they will let the other FD agents know about you and they will more than likely not do anything for you at all.

If you want to have room and tax on one bill and everything else on another bill, ask the FD agent at CI if they could set it up that way. The next morning, if you see that it is not set up that way, don't come down and slap the folio on the desk and start yelling at them, they did not know about it. Just ask them to fix the issue and they will do that, and if you call down, they can have it set up for you and there is no wait time.

a request is just that, a request. a request is not a garentee, it is just that, a request. if you don't get it, that means there aren't anymore. Done and done.
