I am currently an hour from completing my 10 day water fast and as of this morning, I have lost 21lbs.

My inflammation went away.
I've done a lot of these. I'm currently on day 6 of 10. Yesterday I had already lost 14.8 lbs

Currently on day 11, 33lbs down so far, some of it is water weight but it sure beats loosing nothing

Just finished a 2 week water fast a month ago....after vegetable broth the first day I've been refeeding with a whole plant diet the last 3 weeks....feeling great...lost 19 pounds, only gained back 2....feeling good👍🏻

Today i am starting a 10 day water fast,
I will also be doing walking long distances, road cycling, rope skipping and burpees throughout these 10 days, one day walking, one day burpees etc.
I will update: below
June 3: 188.8 lbs
June 4:187.2 lbs
June 5: 185.4 lbs
June 6: 182.5 lbs
June 7: 179.3 lbs
June 8: 175.5 lbs
I ended my fast on the 8th
My goal was to reach 175lbs

I water fasted last Saturday started Friday evening, and ate around 2pm on Sunday. I must say, I felt so mentally good! I had a smile all day Monday. So the fasting once a week thing is real and I will be doing that the rest of my life.

Seems like a very small amount of fat to have lost out of the 7kg average. I project 3.2kg fat loss during my 10 days based on my BMR (quite a modest one too). It's hard to understand how the other 5kg could be water weight and glycogen from muscles/liver considering glycogen is depleted within 20 hours normally. Based on Jason Fung studies too we can see that muscle loss does not occur during extended fasting. I understand that fat binds to water but the water isn't a massive percentage of this binding.. so I find it hard to believe that it is water weight that these people lost especially when all they are doing is drinking water?

They should try the same study with people who are already in ketosis at the start of the 10 day fast.

I am about to water fast for 10 days from tomorrow! I will be working out normally as usual in this duration as well . I’m 25 with athletic /fitness model physique around 14-15 percent body fat right now, want to derive the benefits of mental clarity to focus better on work and studies while fixing my gut issues !

i start school in 11 days and i weigh 214. my goal is to drop at least 20 before school starts. i will also take walks and do low impact exercises to help me on this fasting journey. wish me luck i will see yall on August 18th with the results

I am 270lbs in weight. I want to be 190lbs so I am going to give this a go. To also reboot my body as well and eat clean.

I’m gonna start my water fasting tomorrow. Technically started it today but my parents forced me to have dinner and now I feel very guilty, but I’ll count it as a part of the weight loss.
