People get all excited about the prospective validation of delusions they pursue, yet ignore empirical evidence of a reality that challenges their intelligence.

Aliens fit some sort of a narrative created by movies and sci-fi writers--- none of which has a bit of empirical evidence. Truth is stranger than fiction.

True. Only way would change is if they showed up here. But only because they are on our doorstep. The only argument against this is are we alone is the biggest Q....so it may have a chance to help us change. Only because its a big Q. It will make people reevaluate their position in the universe. Their beliefs etc.
