First off, a few mistakes: Kumihimo's braids do in fact trigger when enemies walk into them. You can see the effect when enemies walk down a hallway. It is simply that each braid will only affect each enemy once until they exit out of it, at which point they once again become susceptible to that particular braid - the exception is that, when ragdolled, enemies will take rapid hits over and over to all of their body parts, so there is potential synergy there with Larva. Archon Continuity does in fact trigger off of toxin procs, but it's once per toxin application, so even if it does apply 4 toxin in a single strike, it'll only apply 1 corrosive. It should be noted that Kumihimo ONLY applies ELEMENTAL status effects, while Bunraku can also access IPS. You may think this is worse somehow, but it makes Kumihimo really reliable at passive area-denial-type CC as the odds of getting, say, Cold or Heat or Electric or Radiation go up a fair amount when not blocked out by three additional status types, like a smaller deck of cards being more consistent than a bigger one. Not to worry though, enemies affected by Radiation will happily prime each other with IPS.



I took Koumei into three hours of steel path grineer, with no helminth ability, no Arcane Aegis, no Brief Respite. Because her shields are so low even after levelling, Catalyzing Shields actually has the consequence of INCREASING her shield gate duration. Paired with Fast Deflection, Vigilante Vigor, Augur Reach and Augur Secrets, she was really consistently staying alive between Augur, Omamori, and just modded shield regen. I wasn't even maxing out her shields on each cast of her 1 and it worked out well due to Catalyzing Shields adjusting the scaling of how much shield gate is recovered based on proportional shields recovered. It should be noted that Omamori works relatively well with Secondary Fortifier. My full build was Growing Power, Mobilize, Archon Continuity, Archon Stretch, Augur Reach, Augur Secrets, Energy Nexus, Fast Deflection, Vigilant Vigor, Catalyzing Shields, Molt Augmented, Molt Efficiency. I see now that Molt Efficiency wasn't doing much for me, though, so feel free to swap that out.



It should also be noted that Koumei can actually be a deceptively good health tank. 444 health and 444 armor are most definitely above average for most warframes, and triple umbral brings her to 1243 for both. Her decrees and Omamori give her so much leeway to trigger on-damaged effects like Adaptation or Grace that she could, after about an hour, effectively just walk through a hallway of enemies largely unfazed.

I really love how she can choose a decree in the circuit just like any other decrees. Just played her in steel path duviri and absolutely ate through the enemies

I love the concept for koumei because running endless missions can get super boring, but the randomness of her kit can keep it interesting, especially the decrees.

I’ve found that the Archon mods (specifically continuity and stretch) work really well on her due to even more status. Yes it’s loses base stats, but the extra effected of the archon mods really help out

I only started warframe a few days ago, but i grinded to get everything for koumei. And i have a few hours left before i can put all the pieces togetehr. Weapons and all. I'm hype for it

Just got her and all of her weapons crafting, and built out my Stahlta (well almost, four out of five Forma in) so a productive day. Can't wait to take her out for a spin, and to use your Glyph!

The only issue with this video is when you explained her Kumihimo ability. It works exactly how you were saying it should. When an enemy walks into a strand it applies that status effect. Triple 6 is all status effects and from what I could tell it also boost the damage of the status, but I couldn't tell if it gave multiple stacks. I also think the dice roll plays a roll in how many status procs the enemy gets per element, but I haven't tested that to confirm it, I only tested enemies walking into the strands. It's funny watching an eximus unit run through it because they just wind up killing themselves before they even get to you, lol.

Her one only working on cast is false. If you pull enemies into the threads they get status procs. I've tested using subsumed pull. Edit: Even if they just walk into it, they take status procs. On cast, she throws out a projectile and then threads come out of it so enemies that are in the path of the cast just take more status procs because they touch multiple threads and they seemingly can't proc statuses for touching the same thread again.
